Making friends is never easy…
Making friends was something I always struggled with as a teenager — my social ineptitude and total lack of fashion sense put my peers off; people of that age not exactly being known for their ability to “see the person inside.” Continue Reading »

A few weeks ago I visited some friends in El Paso, Texas, which is right on the US/Mexican border. The issue of illegal immigration never fails to stir up strong feelings on all sides of the issue, and is a constant source of controversy. While I don’t want to come down on one side or the other, I noticed some interesting things. Continue Reading »

Of course not assets because we are really more of a blog board but in general my thoughts are about Gossip Boards.
I started on my first gossip board back in 1998, it is there where I met Grace believe it or not she is still a friend. We met on a Oprah board about panic attacks. We’ve moved way past Oprah but the reason we met to begin with is what has tied us together all through the years.
I don’t think gossip boards are bad, it makes our world more homey, you can relax with old friends. Information gets out faster and people even meet and fall in love on gossip boards. Continue Reading »

I’m disgusted, disgruntled, disillusioned and dismayed – with John Edwards. Personally, I don’t care who the senator from North Carolina with the perfect hair sleeps with, but the scandal surrounding his alleged affair with a campaign aide cost him the democratic vice presidential slot. I’ve been ranting for months that he would have been the best choice for the position; he’s got Southern, working class roots and no one is going to be elected to the Presidency unless he or she can appeal to the white, working class South. Hillary couldn’t do it, and Barack can’t do it alone. Edwards’ paltry attempts at humility played well in this part of the country; Southerners don’t like an egotistical braggart. A candidate must trumpet his or her qualifications while at the same time appearing humble and modest. Edwards had that routine down pat.

The news that pensioners now outnumber teenagers under 16 should surprise nobody. This statistic has been sailing slowly but surely towards us like a stately Saga cruise ship for decades and we have been unable to change its course. Here they come, stacking the decks, those floating millions of elderly, some active, some angry, some happy, some depressed, some hardly sentient, some wishing they were dead. Continue Reading »

Paramount Pictures
Tom Cruise’s front is no longer united.
After perhaps one anthrax scare too many, the actor’s longtime production partner, Paula Wagner, has announced that she is leaving her chief executive post at the new United Artists to pursue projects independently.

Please do not look for any political correctness here. I’ll do my best to be nice however did you see those outfits with the big red flowers, I thought it was blood splatters at first.. we are talking fugly to the very last thread. I love some of the African duds with their pretty flowing gowns and head dresses. Yes I sit through the entire march in just to see what the different teams are going to wear. I cheer for Great Britian, Australia and Canada like they are my long lost friends and boo France. Continue Reading »

The romantic partner you choose often says much about your own self worth. When Madonna was creative, exciting and at the top of her game she married the equally wild and exciting Sean Penn. When she was jaded and slipping she married Guy Ritchie. Continue Reading »

The caste system is a division of society based on differences in wealth, inherited rank or privledge, profession, occupation or race. This is frowned upon because of its discriminatory factors, it singles out families placing some in high regard while others are spat upon. The lower class are permitted to go about their every day duties while the higher class are idolized and revered, Continue Reading »

Nice to be back home where the buffalo don’t roam and I haven’t seen a deer in like forever. I have chores up to my elbows and I’ll probably get caught watering my poor dried up flowers. Two more of my fishes are gone thus proving there are aliens b/c I can’t figure out what is happening to them.. poor fishies. Continue Reading »
