As a rabid movie fan, I look forward every year to the Oscars. I never watch the ceremony because I can’t stand the forced humor of the latest comedian to be named host; nor can I tolerate it when an entertainment reporter shoves a microphone at the latest movie star wannabe, only to find out that he or she can’t put together a coherent sentence. I don’t care ‘who’ the Hollywood elite has draped over their emaciated, surgically enhanced bodies, and I cringe when the really big stars forget that it’s the movie-going public who has made them rich and famous, as they haughtily turn away from every microphone pointed in their direction.
